- Established more than 100 years ago and based in Chicago, Catholic Extension is a donor-supported national non-profit organization dedicated to sustaining the Catholic faith and building its future in America’s more than 80 “mission dioceses.” These geographic regions are located primarily in the South, Southwest, West and Northwest, and require additional financial support to operate effectively. The diverse populations living in the mission dioceses share one thing in common: they do not have easy access to the Catholic Church and its many services.
